David Ferguson has over 20 years of experience in senior finance and operations roles at Silicon Valley companies as both a consultant and employee. He is an effective strategic business manager skilled at recognizing opportunities and both influencing and executing their successful outcome across multiple departments. David brings hands-on financial management, adept at creating and refining financial plans & budgets, raising capital, managing cash, building and directing effective financial teams and overseeing the financial audit process. From 2001 to present, he has worked for various high tech firms providing finance and operations consulting services. He most recently was the CFO at Circle Medical Devices in Los Gatos, CA. From 1998 to 2000, he was the VP of Finance and Operations at Dorado Corporation, located in San Mateo, CA, responsible for leading its finance and administration efforts from inception through second round of venture funding. Prior to Dorado, he spent 9 years at Teach.com (formerly Anderson Soft-Teach) in operating roles of increasing responsibility including Accounting Manager, Controller, VP of Finance and eventually Chief Operating Officer responsible for all day-to-day operations. Teach.com went through a successful acquisition in 1997. He holds a BS degree from the University of California at Davis in Managerial Economics.
